Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

 

As a Setup & Inspection Technician, you’ll ensure equipment is fully configured, tested, and ready for delivery:

  • Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on new and used equipment
  • Assemble, install, and adjust components, attachments, and accessories
  • Inspect mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Identify and correct setup issues or deficiencies
  • Verify fluids, configurations, and system readiness
  • Operate equipment to perform functional checks
  • Complete inspection reports and documentation
  • Prepare equipment to meet Milton CAT quality standards
  • Support rental fleet preparation as needed

Qualifications

What You Bring

  • 1–3 years of heavy equipment or mechanical experience
    (or technical degree)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow specifications and complete inspections accurately
  • Basic computer skills (inspection/reporting systems)
  • Ability to work independently and stay organized
  • Your own tools
  • A quality-focused, safety-first mindset
