Overview

Milton CAT’s Corporate Facilities team is seeking a Facilities Intern to support facilities engineering and day-to-day operations at our Milford, MA corporate campus. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Facilities Manager on active projects, preventative maintenance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives—building practical experience in building systems, maintenance planning, and energy management. 

 

     Pay rate: $18.00/hr

Responsibilities

• Assist with CMMS by loading data, generating reports, and prioritizing work orders. 

• Help troubleshoot HVAC and building systems issues via BMS, working with technicians. 

• Support daily Facilities operations, including handling routine requests. 

• Assist with annual energy use evaluation and conservation initiatives. 

• Help establish and document best practices for Corporate Facilities. 

• Gather and analyze data for the FY2027 Facilities budget. 

• Support capital project coordination, including tracking and documentation. 

• Take part in annual facility inspections and document findings. 

Qualifications

  • Currently a full-time college student in Facilities Engineering or a related program 
  • Fast learner with a 3.0 or higher GPA on a 4.0 scale 
  • Strong computer and software skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and team-building skills are a plus 
  • Strong organization and time-management skills 
  • Versatility and flexibility to adapt to new situations 
  • Able to commute to the work location daily; this is an in-person internship
