The exclusive dealer of Caterpillar equipment in the Northeast, Milton CAT is one of the largest Caterpillar dealerships in the world and the “big kid’s sandbox” for the most recognizable power equipment on the planet. 

 

Pay Rate: $100,000 to $110,000 based on experience.

Responsibilities

Milton CAT is looking to invest in and develop the right candidate to drive business of Long-Term Service Agreements for the niche of our Prime Power customers within the MA/RI/ NH territory.  This field position involves being on the road, meeting with our top Prime Power customers, executing "business ROI conversations" on prime power applications and rewriting, extending and closing Long Term Service Agreements.

 

  • Drive sales within top 40 Key Accounts within Prime Power customers
  • Promote, create, rewrite, expand and close Long Term Service Agreements
  • Partner with Key Accounts to lower their owning and operating costs of their Prime Power applications
  • Coordinate with customers, our service, part and project manager departments to ensure excellent service delivery

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years field sales experience within Prime Power
  • Strong sales, negotiations and closing skills
  • EE/ME/Engineering degree a strong plus
  • Passionate about strategic preventative maintenance to lower overall owning and operating costs
  • Strong entrepreneurial drive and work ethic.
  • Solid technical knowledge on generators (technician experience a plus)
  • ROI savvy with numbers/financials:  ability to forecast costs over a 10-year period
  • Proven success in Key Account Management:  building relationships, creating partnerships
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to handle hard conversations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong problem-solving skills.
  • Solid technology skills:  MS Office, CRM, lots of Excel
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet customer needs.
  • Must have and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Travel throughout the Milton CAT territory and outside of the Milton CAT territory as needed.
