Milton CAT is seeking a driven, entrepreneurial Sales Representative to develop a brand-new territory for our Compact Equipment division. This is a rare opportunity to take full ownership of a region, prospect new clients, conquer untapped accounts, and grow your own book of business—backed by the power of the Caterpillar brand.


Salary Range: Starting range is $60k plus depending on experience. This is a commission and bonus eligible position with potential for three trimester pay outs and also six figure earnings.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a new territory from scratch—you’ll be the face of Milton CAT in Cumberland & York counties.
  • Prospect and identify new business opportunities through job site visits, cold calls, and networking.
  • Conquer new accounts by building relationships with small contractors, landscapers, ski areas, golf courses, and property maintenance companies.
  • Sell and rent compact equipment such as Mini Excavators, Skid Steers, Wheel Loaders, and more.
  • Drive the full sales cycle—from initial contact to closing the deal.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.

Qualifications

  • 2 to 10+ years of sales experience, preferably in capital goods or heavy equipment.
  • A self-starter with a strong entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for building something new.
  • Competitive, driven, and results-oriented—you hate to lose.
  • Strong knowledge of compact equipment and the industries that use it.
  • Excellent communication and consultative selling skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
