Overview

This position will be based in our Milford, MA location supporting all our facilities across New England and Upstate New York. This role is primarily focused on supporting and maintaining the company network while adhering to industry standard best practices. You will be responsible for supporting a broad range of technologies including but not limited to a full network stack, including L2 switches, L3 switches, routers, firewalls, and WAPs. As a Network Analyst, you will be part of a dynamic team that provides critical IT support to our business.

 

This position is on-site, with future hybrid options. ONLY applicants within commuting distance of Milford, MA will be considered. This position does not offer sponsorship or relocation.

 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with vendors for configuration of network devices, ensuring they adhere to company standards and industry best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and identify the cause of issues or outages, engaging the proper internal teams or vendors as needed through resolution.
  • Create and maintain internal network and systems documentation.
  • Engage in Level 3 network and systems tickets, providing end-user support as required for resolution.
  • LAN/WAN installation, implementation, troubleshooting, monitoring, and performance optimization in a quickly evolving network topology.
  • Coordinate network cable installations as needed across company facilities.
  • Monitor performance and performs maintenance processes to ensure IT network and infrastructure systems are patched and upgraded as required.
  • Occasional night and weekend work is required.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred, or an associate’s degree in IT or related field, with 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Applicable certifications (CCNA, CompTIA, NSE, etc.) preferred but not required.
  • Foundational knowledge of network device configuration.
  • Proven experience using OSI and TCP/IP models and applying these principles to business environments.
  • Familiarity with Fortinet Firewalls, Cisco/Fortinet Switches, and Meraki/Fortinet wireless access points.
  • General knowledge of routing protocols including eBGP, iBGP, EIGRP, and OSPF.
  • Understanding of Layer 7 Firewall rules and configuration.
  • Must be available for travel to remote sites within Upstate New York and New England to complete project requirements.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs unassisted.
