Overview

Milton CAT is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician with a focus on electrical. The technician is responsible for the diagnosis, repair, reconditioning and installation of laser and GPS technologies, components and systems on excavators, dozers, wheel loaders and other equipment.

 

Pay Rate:  $30.00 - $38.00/hour based on education and experience.

Our state-of-the-art facility provides you with a safe, clean work environment that includes, 5 & 10-ton cranes, specialized tooling, automatic bulk oil delivery and auto ventilation system.     

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, remove, install, replace, repair & test Sitech Northeast GPS and laser machine control and automation technologies on construction equipment. 

  • Installs, inspects, tests, measures, adjusts and calibrates electrical components and GPS systems
  • Keeps up to date with developments in tooling, technologies and systems.
  • Prepares accurate and complete service reports timely.
  • Always maintain a professional and proper personal appearance adhering to company policy.
  • Flexible work hours in addition to the normal work schedule for emergency calls or routine service as required.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required.

  • Strong electrical and electrical diagnostic skills
  • Solid customer facing/service and communication skills
  • Three + years experience on Cat or other similar equipment, diesel technology degree preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills and be detailed oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Proficient in the use of a computer and related software (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Able to lift more than 50 pounds and to work overtime with minimal supervision
  • Ability to perform duties with a sense of urgency, exceeding customer expectations.
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic, fast paced service environment.
  • Maintain a tool inventory sufficient to perform assigned tasks.
