Overview

Do you enjoy selling, building deals, working with people to solve problems and creating new solutions? As an Inside Machine Sales Specialist, you’ll gain exposure to all areas of the heavy equipment industry while working with team members located throughout our New England and New York dealership branches. You’ll gain exposure not only within the construction industry but in agriculture, forestry, and logging with potential opportunities to advance as a specialist within these sectors. 

 

Starting Salary Range: $50K-$65K base salary with bonus potential based on performance.

Responsibilities

  • Handle walk in customers inquiring about new and used machines.
  • Drive and encourage the retail experience from a sales standpoint.
  • Qualify and manage an assigned customer list.
  • Perform new customer interactions to the local store and handling of online applications.
  • Make outbound/cold calls to potential customers and follow up on leads.
  • Understand customers' needs and identify sales opportunities.
  • Answer potential customers' questions and send additional information via phone, text, and email.
  • Keep up with product and service information and updates.
  • Explain and demonstrate features of products and services.
  • Staying informed about competing products and services.
  • Close sales and achieve sales targets.
  • Complete ongoing training and development programs.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in dealership sales is preferred.
  • Strong customer orientation – able to work with customers to understand their needs and solve challenges.
  • Strong entrepreneurial drive and work ethic – take ownership for your territory and pride in it.
  • Competitive nature and driven to succeed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Proficient in communication, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Displays exceptional customer service, phone and cold calling skills.
  • Strong listening and sales skills.
  • Ability to achieve targets and goals.
  • Technical knowledge and experience within the industry are a plus but not required. The right candidate must have interest and enthusiasm to learn about equipment, technologies, and services so they can connect our customers to the appropriate area within Milton CAT and provide an exceptional customer experience from start to finish.
