Overview

Milton CAT is looking for an IT Project Manager based in Milford, MA that combines technical expertise with project management skills.  As an IT Project Manager you will manage multiple medium to large sized projects concurrently using industry standards and best practices from requirements gathering to go-live and stabilization. You will work cross-functionally within IT and with other key business stakeholders to ensure key decisions on implementation and timelines are made. You will create and maintain comprehensive project plans, proactively identify and manage risks and issues, escalating them as necessary. Projects will include implementation of networks and data centers for new facilities, software and hardware infrastructure upgrades, as well as new technology deployments throughout the organization. You will work within the IT Department on a broad range of cutting-edge on-premises and cloud technologies with a diverse team. 

 

The compensation range for this position is $80,000 to $110,000

Responsibilities

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Successfully manage multiple projects in varied environments and adapt to different project needs, constraints, and timelines.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, management, and coordination of all activities, including project health, status reporting, and problem resolution to IT Management.
  • Effectively communicate and manage project expectations and status to managers, owners, sponsors, team members, and other stakeholders in a clear and concise fashion.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal resources and third parties/vendors, utilizing best practices in project management, change management, and communication methods.
  • Proactively identify and manage project risks and issues and escalate in a clear and timely manner when appropriate.
  • Manage and track implementation issues/risks/scope creep to achieve a successful go live and stabilization phase.
  • Continue to grow knowledge of business domain to add value to subsequent projects and manage more effectively.
  • Contribute to streamlining existing in-house processes (i.e., data migrations, builds /deployments, new environment setup, etc.)

Minimum Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, or related field.

Qualifications

  • Strong full life-cycle project management skills leveraging industry best practices and methodologies
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in IT Project Management, ERP experience a strong +
  • Extensive experience with the software implementation life cycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with different and strong personalities
  • Strong business and leadership skills. An ability to take the bull by the horns and make things happen
  • Demonstrated aptitude to quickly learn business processes.
  • Strong analytical, technical and organization skills.
  • Advanced MS Office acumen (Teams, SharePoint, Visio, Project, Excel and Outlook)
  • Ability to work with users at all levels within the organization.
  • Must be available for approximately 15% travel facilities within Upstate New York and New England.
  • Occasional night and weekend work as required.
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs. unassisted.
