Overview

As the Corporate Communications Specialist, you will help develop and manage an annual plan for employee and external company communications. Partnering closely with senior leadership, marketing and Human Resources, you will identify important messages, determine communication tactics and implement the plan. This role requires strong planning skills, an ability to work within a team, and a willingness to personally implement tactics.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the Milton CAT Intranet, including understanding and improving use, as well as developing governance to ensure it stays current
  • Organic social media management, curating social media calendar, creating content and handling company social media accounts.
  • Creating content for and producing the company employee newsletter
  • Collaborating with Human Resources to build communications plans for:
    • Benefits Enrollment and Education
    • Recruiting
    • Wellness
    • Safety
  • Working closely with Director and Vice President Marketing to develop and implement public relations plan to cover relevant company news, including corporate sponsorships
  • Keeping corporate pages of company website current, working in collaboration with Digital Marketing Manager
  • Managing company social media presence
  • Maintaining corporate PowerPoint templates, corporate email signatures, letterhead, etc.
  • Assisting as requested in executive team communications, including presentation development
  • Contributing to facility launch communications
  • May support other groups such as Learning & Development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related major preferred.
  • Collaborative – proven ability to build cross-functional relationships, navigate challenges and be a great team member.
  • Exceptionally strong communication skills, including interviewing, writing and editing.
  • 2+ years of communications or marketing experience with significant digital marketing knowledge, including social media. Corporate or employee communications experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to travel to Milton Rents and Milton CAT locations throughout New England and upstate New York (approximately 10-15%).
  • Based in Milford, in office or hybrid
