Overview

Milton CAT is seeking a Paving and Milling specialist to work on the road covering our entire territory in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New York.  This position will be responsible for growing market share of all Caterpillar and Weiler Paving Products. This position requires a self-motivated, energetic, detail minded individual with good customer relation skills.  Travel will consist of 3-4 days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain the proper knowledge of the paving industry in order to better connect with customers.
  • Learn product specifications and technologies of all Caterpillar and Weiler Paving Products. 
  • Be able to operate, demonstrate, and start-up all pieces of Caterpillar and Weiler Paving Products.
  • Complete sales and rental orders on new and used equipment, as well as evaluate trade-in pieces properly.
  • Prospect, build, and maintain strong relationships with all customers alike.
  • Understand the service side of the paving industry and how it plays a part in current and future business.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required.

  • 5+ years of paving industry experience.
  • Knowledge of construction equipment is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with customers/vendors and Milton CAT employees at a professional level both on the phone and in person.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced working industry.
  • Strong problem solving skills and be detail oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to perform duties with a sense of urgency, exceeding customer expectations.
  • Ability to work and make decisions with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to travel throughout the Milton CAT territory on an as needed basis.
  • Valid drivers license and good driving record.
