Overview

Milton CAT is seeking an entrepreneurial, self-motivated and innovative Facilities Manager to oversee building operations and maintenance for the Milford facility campus.  Reporting to the MA/RI Regional Facility Manager, you will collaborate on all facilities aspects for a portfolio of buildings of significant complexity.  Milton CAT is expanding and evolving its business operations, and the growing Facilities Department is vital to that success. Pay Range: Starting salary between $65k-$80k depending on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Full oversight of 360,000 sq. ft. of office, service, training, and warehouse storage buildings, including
    • Maintenance, security, janitorial, landscaping and waste/recycling functions
    • Oversight of utility systems including HVAC, electrical power & stand by generators, fire alarm/sprinkler systems, distribution center conveyor and compressed air system, domestic water plumbing and water filtration systems
      • Develop and maintain relationships with contractors
  • Manage preventative maintenance programs through a CMMS, including inspection and calibration programs for the buildings, systems and equipment
  • Manage and direct facility improvements; plan and execute facilities-related projects; regularly inspect facilities for hazards, areas of improvement or improper operations
  • Plan and manage facilities budget and forecast; manage selection, performance and expense tracking of outside contractors, material suppliers and consultant relationships; purchase maintenance and janitorial supplies and equipment
  • Ensure compliance and maintain logs/manuals/blueprints related to building maintenance, equipment, inspections, and repairs for all regulatory agencies including: OSHA, EPA, Fire Department, Town of Milford and various Massachusetts State Departments
  • Respond to building and equipment alarms and emergencies as first point of contact 24/7
  • Internal point-of-contact for inquiries on facility-related issues. Provide follow through and communication as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Facilities, Construction or Operations Management preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in building mechanical systems or other similar industry.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills. Able to convey technical subject matter to technical or non-technical audiences including company department heads, shop sales and service technicians, governmental regulators, and other professionals
  • Experience in troubleshooting and problem identification
  • Ability to “hold your own”, present ideas, solve problems and resolve conflicts related to facilities operations
  • Strong Project Management skills. Able to drive multiple projects to completion within tight timelines
  • Technically skilled with MS Office (Excel & MS Project) and other Windows-based programs, experience in reading and interpreting blue prints is a plus.
