Diesel Technician Trainee

We are looking for highly driven, mechanically-inclined individuals interested in developing a career as a Heavy Equipment Diesel Technician or Electric Power Generation Technician.  The next Milton CAT Diesel Technician Training Program will start in summer 2024, and we are hiring now for a limited number of trainee spots!

This is a 15-month PAID TRAINING program, consisting of 2,000 hours on-the-job training and 400 hours of classroom/online video training.  You will rotate through a variety of different shops within our facility and work elbow-to-elbow with some of the best technicians in the industry.  

Upon successful completion of the training program, you will be offered a full-time Milton CAT Technician position.

• High school diploma or (GED) equivalent 
• One or more years of experience servicing heavy equipment or equivalent education in automotive/diesel/other mechanical vocational program. 
• Strong sense of safety, customer service, problem solving and communication skills 
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds 
• Solid mechanical aptitude with a desire to learn and adapt 
• Proficient in the use of technology (laptop computer and related software systems) 
• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record
