Overview

Milton CAT and Milton Rents is seeking an entrepreneurial, independent-minded individual to join our growing team. The Regional Facility Manager will assist the Corporate Facility Engineer and effectively drive facilities projects to successful completions.  If you love a dynamic and challenging work environment, working on large capital projects, quarterbacking outside vendors, working with local Department Managers to get the job done, we want to hear from you.

Note: We are recruiting for one open position that will be based within our New York territory. We have advertised this position in multiple cities.

Responsibilities

Included but not limited to:

 

  • Collaborate with local managers on all facilities aspects for a portfolio of buildings of significant complexity.  These properties consist of office, retail, service, and warehouse and rental buildings, including:
    • Maintenance, security, janitorial, landscaping and waste/recycling functions
    • Oversight of utility systems including HVAC, electrical power, fire alarm/sprinkler systems, compressed air system, domestic water plumbing and water filtration systems
  • Work with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Maintain an up-to-date Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and Preventive Maintenance Program (PMP). Create a replacement/repair schedule for assets aimed at minimizing down time and operational expenses
  • Ensure compliance and maintain logs/manuals/blueprints related to building maintenance, equipment, inspections, and repairs for all regulatory agencies including: OSHA, EPA, Fire Department, Municipal and various State Departments
  • Plan and manage facilities budget; manage selection, performance and expense tracking of outside contractors, material suppliers and, purchase maintenance and janitorial supplies and equipment
  • Manage and direct facility improvements; plan and execute facilities-related projects; regularly inspect facilities for hazards, areas of improvement or improper operations
  • Provide follow through and communication as needed.
  • Periodically travel to branch locations throughout NY State.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or 5 years’ experience in Facilities Management
  • Strong knowledge of building mechanical systems
  • Solid communication skills (oral and written) that covers technical subject matter to technical or non-technical audiences including company department heads, shop sales and service technicians, governmental regulators, and other professionals
  • Experience in troubleshooting and problem identification
  • Ability to handle conflict resolution with A-type personalities
  • Strong Project Management skills and driving multiple projects to completion within tight timelines
  • Technically capable with Microsoft Office (Excel & MS Project) and other Windows based programs
